He was recruited by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to replace Brydon Carse for the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season, proving that his efforts were not in vain. Mulder, who took six wickets in just three games, had a big effect in the Champions Trophy 2025. He entered the IPL 2025 auction with a base price of 75 lakh, but at first he was not sold.
Nevertheless, SRH ultimately chose to replace him after seeing his versatility and ability to benefit the squad.

Wiaan Mulder has represented South Africa in all forms during his international career. He has participated in 11 T20 Internationals (T20Is) games, collecting eight wickets at an average of 24.37 and amassing 105 runs at a strike rate of 116.66.
He has made 25 appearances in One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 276 runs and demonstrating his versatility. Over the course of his 18 Test matches, he has amassed 589 runs and taken several wickets.
He has amassed 970 international runs and taken 60 wickets for South Africa overall, across all forms.
