Nita Ambani supports India’s 2036 Olympic Bid, Referring To It As “Our Pride”

Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, stated her strong support for India’s candidacy to host the 2036 Olympics at the Harvard University annual India Conference on Indian Business, Policy & Culture. She emphasized that it would be a matter of national pride. She emphasized India’s economic expansion and the need to resolve a peculiarity: India has not yet hosted the Olympics, but nine of the ten biggest economies in the world have.

“I think the Olympics should be held in India. Ambani said, “It’s surprising that, out of the ten largest economies, only India has not hosted the Games, given that we are poised to become the third-largest economy globally.”

She also emphasized India’s Olympic vision’s dedication to sustainability, pointing out that the nation intends to reuse and renovate current stadiums and venues to make the competition environmentally friendly. “I promise you that it will be the greenest Olympics ever if we win the bid,” she declared.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration that India will submit a proposal for the 2036 Olympics is consistent with Ambani’s remarks. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Complex in Ahmedabad is frequently suggested as a possible location, even though the host city has not been decided.

India’s bid to win the Olympics for the first time is strengthened by its growing stature in international sports and its successful hosting of major competitions like the Cricket World Cup and the Commonwealth Games.
